Can We Eliminate Stripe?

Technically, you could collect payments manually — but it comes with significant drawbacks. Without Stripe, you would need to display your bank details (account number and sort code) on the website and ask members to send payments manually. After that, members would need to upload or email screenshots of their payment, and your treasurer or admin team would have to check each bank statement, identify who paid, and manually update their status.
